Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Supply Quality Control Electrical Engineer at HARTEK GROUP, located in the Mohali district. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality control of electrical components and systems, developing and implementing testing procedures, and troubleshooting electrical issues. The role also includes designing electrical controls and systems, working closely with production teams, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key #Responsibilities

Supply Chain Quality Oversight

• Inspect electrical equipment at vendor/manufacturer facilities before dispatch (e.g., transformers, switchgear, panels, cables, inverters, modules, HT Bus bar, AL busbar tubes, HT Isolators, SF6 breaker, wave trap, C & R panel, 11/33 kv HT switchboard, Cable tray, HT/LT cables, D.C. Battery, Battery Charger & DCDB, GIS/AIS, SCADA panels, RMUs, CT/PT/CVT, surge arresters, HT/LT/PLCC panel, Illuminations & structure steel etc.)

• Review and approve Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) reports and witness testing

• Ensure compliance with IS/IEC/IEEE standards and project specifications

Material Inspection & Verification

• Conduct incoming material inspections at site for substation and solar components

• Validate certificates of conformity, test reports, and warranty documents

• Monitor packaging, handling, and transportation conditions to prevent damage

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed inspection records, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action logs

• Prepare and update Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and Method Statements

• Support documentation for audits and client handovers

Equipment-Specific Quality Checks

• Substation Projects: Transformers, CT/PT/CVT, circuit breakers, isolators, surge arresters, control & relay panels, earthing systems, HT Bus bar, AL busbar tubes, HT Isolators, SF6 breaker, wave trap, C & R panel, 11/33 kv HT switchboard, Cable tray, HT/LT cables, D.C. Battery, Battery Charger & DCDB, GIS/AIS, SCADA panels, RMUs, CT/PT/CVT, PLCC panels, Illuminations & structure

• Solar Projects: PV modules, inverters, SCBs, DC/AC cables, RMUs, transformers, mounting structures

Testing & Commissioning Support

• Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning quality checks

• Verify installation quality and readiness for energization

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards

• Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and client representatives for quality alignment

Desired Skills

• Strong understanding of electrical drawings and technical specifications

• Familiarity with solar PV and substation equipment standards

• Excellent communication and coordination skills

• Proactive in identifying quality risks and implementing mitigation measures
