Job Description

Oversee and manage end-to-end shipping operations within the New Zealand supply chain.
Coordinate with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Monitor shipment schedules, track inventory, and resolve shipping discrepancies.
Prepare shipping documents and ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
Lead and mentor a team of shipping administrators, providing guidance and training as needed.
Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to optimize shipping processes.
Maintain records of shipments, costs, and performance metrics for continuous improvement.
Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and issues.
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce shipping costs.
Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
Previous experience in shipping administration or logistics coordination, preferably within New Zealand.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in shipping and logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of relevant shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
