Role Overview:

Mission of the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirement Management

• Involve in compliance matrix preparation to define the requirements specific to display.
• Review and confirm the requirements with the suppliers

• Design & Development

• Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for new display technologies and materials
• Develop and optimize TFT, segmented LCD and OLED display modules, focusing on performance, reliability, and cost.
• Work on FOG processes including lamination, bonding, and alignment for high-yield production.
• Design and validate BLU systems for uniform brightness and energy efficiency.
• Work closely with supplier for material selection

• Process Engineering

• Support for improving manufacturing processes for the assembly of TFT, FOG, and OLED with mechanical parts

• Testing & Validation

• Contribute in optical, electrical, and mechanical performance tests on display panels.
• Analyze failure modes and implement corrective actions.

• Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to integrate display modules into end products.
• Support to assure quality and reliability

Key Performance Indicators:

• Compliance to requirements
• Deliverables Say/Do ratio
• Meet cost reduction target
• First time pass in DV test

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Work Location- Chennai/ Bangalore/Pune

• PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Optical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in TFT, SLCD, OLED, or related display technologies. Experience with advanced display technologies (OLED, TFT, HUD).
• Strong background of:
• TFT architecture
• FOG technology and bonding techniques
• BLU design principles (optical films, LED integration).
• OLED stack structure and encapsulation processes.
• Familiarity with optical simulation tools and electrical analysis tools.
• Experience with display characterization equipment
• Experience in using 3D CAD tools
• Understanding of reliability testing standards (temperature cycling, humidity, vibration).
• Experience in automotive or high-end consumer electronics displays.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
