Role Overview

The Business Strategy person will be responsible for driving the company’s long-term strategic direction, supporting business transformation, and ensuring alignment of organizational goals with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). The role will act as a key advisor to senior leadership by providing insights through data-driven analysis and ensuring execution of strategic priorities across business verticals.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Planning & Execution

• Develop and refine ACME Group’s long-term strategy in alignment with market trends, growth opportunities, and organizational objectives.

• Partner with business leaders to identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and areas of growth.

• Drive strategic projects, M&A evaluations, and business diversification initiatives.


Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Analysis

• Monitor and evaluate AOP vs. Actual performance across all business units.

• Provide regular business performance insights and variance analysis to leadership.

• Recommend corrective measures and interventions to ensure achievement of business goals.


Business Insights & Decision Support

• Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and industry analysis.

• Build financial and strategic models to evaluate business cases, investment proposals, and expansion opportunities.

• Present fact-based recommendations to leadership for informed decision-making.


Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Finance, Operations, and Business Unit Heads to ensure strategic alignment and accountability.

• Facilitate periodic business reviews with leadership and prepare executive-level presentations.


Key Requirements

• MBA (Strategy/Finance/General Management) from a tier 1 institution.

• 10-15 years of experience in corporate strategy, business planning, management consulting, or general management roles.

• Strong business acumen with ability to evaluate financial, operational, and strategic drivers.

• Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, business analysis, and dashboards.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

• Experience in handling multi-business group structures will be an added advantage.
