Job Description – Store Manager

(Solids and Automation Technologies)

Job Title: Store Manager

Department: Stores & Inventory

Reporting To: Plant Head / Operations Manager / Supply Chain Manager

Location: [Lamdapura, Savli, Vadodara]

Job Purpose:

To manage and control all store operations efficiently, ensuring timely availability of materials, accurate inventory management, and adherence to company standards and engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory & Store Management

· Maintain proper stock levels of raw materials, Bought out parts, consumables, tools, spare parts, and finished goods.

· Ensure all materials are received, stored, and issued as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).

· Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile with system records.

· Monitor and manage stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.

2. Material Handling & Documentation

· Supervise unloading, checking, and documentation of incoming materials.

· Maintain accurate records: GRN (Goods Receipt Note), issue slips, stock register, etc.

· Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and storage of items as per classification.

· Implement and manage FIFO (First-In-First-Out) / LIFO / FEFO systems as applicable.

3. Coordination

· Coordinate with the Purchase Department for timely procurement.

· Communicate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments for timely issue/receipt of material.

· Liaise with vendors and transporters for delivery and logistics follow-up.

4. Compliance & Safety

· Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.

· Follow and enforce safety procedures related to material handling and storage.

· Ensure proper housekeeping and pest control in the store area.

5. Systems & Reporting

· Operate and maintain ERP or inventory management systems (Solution one, Tally, etc.).

· Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports on stock status, non-moving items, and consumption.

· Analyze inventory trends and suggest corrective actions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

· Knowledge of engineering materials (SS, MS, electrical, mechanical spares, consumables, etc.)

· Strong organizational and time-management skills.

· Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory software/ERP.

· Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

· Leadership and team management skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Graduate/Diploma in Engineering or any discipline. Certification in Stores/Inventory Management preferred.

Experience: 8+ years in store management, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or fabrication industries.

Working Conditions:

· Full-time, on-site

· May require physical activity such as inventory handling and lifting

· Requires coordination across shifts, vendors, and internal departments

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
