Job Description

Job Summary: The Store Keeper will be responsible for managing and maintaining all store operations, including inventory control, goods receipt and issue, documentation, and coordination with various departments. The role ensures that materials are accurately accounted for, properly stored, and efficiently issued to support smooth business operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials. Regularly update stock registers or inventory management software. Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile with system records. Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials to avoid shortages. Identify slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete items and report them to management. 2. Goods Receipt & Issue: Receive incoming goods/materials and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders. Check for damages, discrepancies, or missing items and report immediately. Label, store, and arrange materials systematically in designated locations. Issue materials to concerned departments as per approved requisitions and maintain proper records. 3. Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain proper documentation such as Goods Receipt Note (GRN), material issue slips, stock registers, and daily transaction logs. Ensure all records are updated and filed systematically for audit and reference purposes. Coordinate with the Accounts or Purchase team for invoice verification and payment processing. 4. Coordination & Communication: Coordinate with purchase, accounts, and production departments for material requirements and stock updates. Liaise with suppliers and transporters for timely delivery of goods. Support internal audits and stock verification processes. 5. Safety & Housekeeping: Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage, loss, or contamination of materials. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the store area. Follow company policies for material handling, disposal, and safety compliance. 6. Reporting: Prepare and share daily/weekly/monthly stock reports with management. Highlight stock variances, shortages, or material-related issues promptly. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Minimum HSC / Graduate in Commerce, Logistics, or related field. Experience: 1–3 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory, or warehouse operations (freshers with relevant knowledge may apply). Technical Skills: Knowledge of inventory management and documentation processes. Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP / inventory software. Skills: Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and coordination abilities.
