What You Will Do
The Store Incharge is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the store/warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods including raw materials, components, and finished products. This role requires a highly organized individual with excellent inventory management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and reconciliations.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders to replenish inventory as needed.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage and loss.
- Oversee the receipt of incoming materials, verifying the quantity and quality against purchase orders
- Coordinate the dispatch of finished products to customers and ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and maintain necessary shipping and receiving documentation.
- Organize the warehouse layout for efficient space utilization.
- Implement and maintain warehouse safety and security protocols.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse at all times.
- Utilize inventory management software to track inventory and generate reports.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
- Continuously improve warehouse processes for increased efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with procurement, product, manufacturing departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, transporters, and other stakeholders.
- Resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies, shipping delays, or supplier concerns.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of managing inventory.
Should Have
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP, Oracle and MS Office.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety and security protocols in a warehouse setting.
