Role: CAD Engineer- Mechanical Department: Product Engineering/Design RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary: 1. Preparation of Part/Sub assembly/General Assembly drawings , P&ID & PFD in AutoCAD 2. Prepare 3D models in AUTODESK INVENTOR SOFTWARE to generate Manufacturing drawings for Mechanical & Structural components, Bill of Material etc. 3. Prepare detailed Heavy fabrication drawings in Inventor Solid modelling, sheet metal modelling, and steel frame generator etc., 4. Prepare the complete Drawings list. 5. Issue the drawings through Drawing transmittals. 6. Prepare Erection & Marking drawings. 7. Prepare part lists for the equipment. Secondary: 1. Provide Dimensional information to Team lead engineer to perform design calculations, Load calculations etc., 2. Visit the workshops to support the production team. 3. Create the database for the future references. 4. Focus on standardized parts and assemblies to avoid duplication of the same work. COMPETENCIES: 1. Basic understanding of Heavy Fabrication & Machined components. 2. Understanding of standard rolled steel sections and plates. 3. Proficiency in MS office, AutoCAD-2D, AUTODESK INVENTOR-3D MODELLING/DETAILING, Outlook Emailer 4. Sound Knowledge on Fasteners, GD&T, Welding symbols etc. 5. Exposure to Mild steel & Stainless steel components. 6. Exposure on use of I-logic & Parametric models is an advantage 7. Adaptability to the technological evolvements. 8. Effective communication 9. Ability to work in a Team.
