Role - Sr. Engineer - NPD
Location - Mumbai (Kandivali)
Key responsibilities
1. Driving cost reduction activities. 2. Reviewing product and drawing specifications; and feedback to design, BOM, manufacturing feasibility and processes. 3. Defining process, press and CNC tools for new product. 4. Ensuring tool verification as per plan and fool-proofing. 5. Conducting process and tool validation and build process capabilities for new products. 6. Issuing resolution at various stages of product development. 7. Preparing product validation report and improvement plan. 8. Preparing SOP and process specifications of new products. 9. Ensuring quality of parts/products as per drawing specifications for all NPI. 10. Reviewing drawing for packaging and BOM. 11. Preparing product and process development plan. 12. Ensuring vendor evaluations and improvement plan.
Competencies/skills
1. Sheet metal Press shop tooling, production, utensils, AutoCAD, NPD. 2. Hands on Experience of working with sheet metal tool design and development.
Qualification & experience
1. B. Tech (mechanical)/ Diploma Mechanical / Sheet metal Tooling. 2. 5 to 7 years
