Job Description

Position Overview:

The State Head – EV Sector is responsible for driving business growth, operational excellence, and strategic expansion of the company’s electric vehicle initiatives within the assigned state. This role involves overseeing sales, dealer/partner development, charging infrastructure deployment, government relations, and end-to-end execution of EV business plans. The individual will lead cross-functional teams to ensure targets are met and the brand is strongly represented across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Business Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop state-level strategic plans to achieve sales, revenue, and market penetration targets.
  • Analyze market potential, competitor activities, and customer insights to define growth opportunities.
  • Create annual operating plans, forecasting, and budgeting for the state.

2.Sales & Channel Management

  • Build, manage, and grow dealer networks, franchisees, charging partners, and fleet operators.
  • Drive B2B & B2C sales for EV vehicles or charging solutions.
  • Provide training, support, and performance reviews for channel partners.
  • Ensure availability of inventory, spare parts, and service support within the state.

3. Government & Regulatory Liaison

  • Process approvals, subsidies, and compliance documentation for state EV policies.
  • Represent the company in state EV forums and industry committees.

4. Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and lead regional managers, sales managers, and field executives.
  • Set performance KPIs and ensure team motivation and productivity.
  • Conduct regular review meetings and provide strategic guidance.

5. Financial & P&L Management

  • Manage complete state-level P&L.
  • Optimize costs across operations, manpower, distribution, and marketing.
  • Ensure healthy ROI and profitability for dealers and the organisation.

6. Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of EV market, charging infrastructure, or automobile industry.
  • Proven experience in state-level sales or operations leadership.
  • Ability to work with government agencies and understand regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and people management skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making and strategic planning abilities.
  • Experience handling multi-city operations and large teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 8–15+ years of experience in Automotive, EV, Renewable Energy, or related sectors.
  • Experience in state/regional leadership roles is highly desirable.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

  • Sales volume & revenue achievement.
  • Dealer and network expansion.
  • Charging station roll out targets (if applicable).
  • Customer satisfaction & service quality.
  • State-level profitability.
  • Compliance with government regulations & subsidy processing timelines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
