Startup Generalist


Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Business Operations & Strategy Associate to join our early-stage space-tech startup. This role is designed for a versatile, hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to wear multiple hats. You will support our leadership team across operations, business development, marketing, administration, and engineering support, ensuring the company runs smoothly while driving growth and execution.


Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Administration

  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling, vendor coordination, procurement (PO management), and logistics.
  • Provide organizational support for meetings, travel, and internal communications.
  • Assist in compliance and finance workflows alongside the Finance Generalist (GST, TDS, PF, invoicing).

Business Development & Fundraising

  • Support investor outreach, data room preparation, and pitch material updates.
  • Conduct market research, competitor tracking, and assist in identifying potential customers and partners.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including incubators, accelerators, and funding agencies.

Marketing & Communication

  • Assist in developing marketing campaigns, social media content, and outreach material.
  • Coordinate events, workshops, and external representation of the company.
  • Manage branding, website updates, and digital presence in collaboration with advisors/partners.

Engineering & Testing Support

  • Provide hands-on support during test campaigns and R&D activities (documentation, logistics, safety oversight).
  • Coordinate procurement and vendor relations for technical hardware.
  • Ensure smooth operational readiness for testing and facilities.

IT & Data Management

  • Oversee IT and digital tools, including software subscriptions, data storage, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain internal knowledge bases and process documentation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or startup/ops background a plus).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a bias for execution.
  • Comfortable juggling responsibilities across admin, operations, business development, and light technical support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and adaptable — thrives in ambiguity.
  • Familiarity with startups, fundraising, or space/tech ecosystem preferred.
