Staff Software Engineer

Position Summary -

Support and mentor teams and products by leveraging advanced to expert skills across multiple domains including front-end and backend development, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, test automation, IaC, CI/CD, and monitoring/diagnostics.

• Front-end development

  : Experience interacting with design teams and scaling front-end development.

• Event-driven architecture

  : Knowledge of stream, queue, and eventing systems.

• REST APIs

  : Experience in designing, developing, and consuming scalable, low latency RESTful APIs.

• Relational Databases

  : Ability to work with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server for database management.

• CI/CD

  : Setting up and managing continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using various tools.

• IaC

  : Experience with infrastructure as code for provisioning and managing cloud resources.

• Test Automation

  : Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.

• Monitoring and Diagnostics

  : Knowledge of monitoring and diagnostics tools.

• Networking

  : Understanding of networking concepts, including virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, and VPN gateways.

• Emerging Technologies

  : Stay abreast of the latest developments in data technologies, evaluating and integrating them into the platform to enhance capabilities.

• Architectural Design

  : Lead the architectural design and technical strategy for multiple teams and product lines.

• Strategic Efforts

  : Focus on strategic efforts rather than tactical, ensuring tracking towards a one-year architecture direction.

• Decision Making

  : Make decisions by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information; choose the best course of action by establishing clear decision criteria, generating and evaluating alternatives, and making timely decisions.

• Influencing

  : Use effective persuasion techniques to gain acceptance of ideas and commitment to actions that support specific outcomes.

  : Ensure the quality of the codebase through code reviews, testing, and automation.

  : Mentor and guide junior engineers in the team.

  : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical direction with business goals.

  : Show results and provide feedback to engineering leaders.
