Sr. Production Manager

Industry Preference: Cosmetics / Ayurvedic / Personal Care (Export Units Preferred)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our export-oriented cosmetics production unit. The facility is engaged in the large-scale production of Henna Powder Hair Colours, Cream-Based Hair Colours, Perfumes, Soaps, Nail Polish, Deodorants, and Toothpastes. The ideal candidate must have direct experience in managing the production of at least three or more of these product categories, and be fully conversant with cosmetic manufacturing regulations, quality standards, and export compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Execution

Lead and oversee daily production across various cosmetic categories:

Henna & Herbal Powder Hair Colours

Oxidative Cream-Based Hair Colours

Fragrances (EDPs, body mists)

Soaps (Toilet soaps, herbal bars)

Nail Polishes & Deodorants

Toothpaste and Oral Care Products

Ensure batch-wise scheduling, material availability, and manpower allocation

Drive output efficiency while maintaining target productivity and waste norms

Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and export-related quality standards

Quality & Compliance

Coordinate with QA/QC teams for in-process and final product checks

Ensure strict adherence to cosmetic regulations, MSDS, and labelling laws for various export markets

Maintain hygiene and visual factory standards as per export clients’ audits

Prepare and manage SOPs, batch records, and regulatory documentation

Team Management & Coordination

Supervise production line staff, machine operators, and technical supervisors

Conduct daily reviews, shift handovers, and performance monitoring

Provide training and ensure compliance with safety and operational discipline

Coordinate with maintenance, purchase, dispatch, and warehousing teams

Export Readiness & Documentation Support

Support documentation needed for export orders — batch traceability, formulation records, etc.

Liaise with regulatory teams for client audits, third-party inspections, and compliance paperwork

Desired Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in manufacturing cosmetic or personal care products

Hands-on knowledge of Hair Colour formulations (powder & cream) is essential

Additional experience with perfumes, nail polishes, soaps or deodorants is highly preferred

Good understanding of export markets, client compliance, and hygienic manufacturing

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and people-handling abilities

Familiar with GMP, ISO, HACCP, or similar plant standards

Qualifications:

B.Sc / B.Tech / B.Pharm / Diploma in Cosmetic Technology, Chemistry, or Industrial Engineering

Additional certification in cosmetic regulations or export manufacturing practices is a plus
