Sr. Manager – Business Development & Engineering

Job Purpose:

Lead Business Development and Engineering to drive revenue growth, acquire new customers, and deliver technically and commercially competitive solutions across FRP/GRP, Metal Fabrication, PU Foam, and Plastic Moulding products.

Reporting To:

Principal Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Acquire new customers and develop opportunities across target sectors (wind energy, railways, marine, automotive).
• Lead pricing, contract negotiations, and strategic agreements.

Engineering & Documentation:

• Oversee feasibility studies, costing, and quotations.
• Review customer technical requirements and guide solutions.
• Ensure timely proposals, documentation, and compliance with quality and legal standards.

Team Leadership &

• Lead and develop the Sales & Engineering team.
• Allocate resources, delegate work, and build a performance culture.
• Support planning, budgeting, and market expansion.
• Provide insights on competition, pricing, and technology trends.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Behaviours:

Education – Graduate or Post Graduate in Engineering

Experience – 10+ years

Skills:

• Strong understanding of B2B industrial sales, ideally in FRP/GRP, Plastic Moulding and related product & processes
• Experience in new customer acquisition
• Proficient in pricing strategies, cost estimation, and contract negotiations
• Capable of coordinating and mentoring team members
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Skilled at building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
• Self-starter with the ability to define and refine a strategy for effective results.

Travel Requirement:

Preference:

Candidates with experience in the composites (FRP/GRP), Plastic Moulding or allied manufacturing industries, Wind Energy, Renewable Energy, Automobile sectors are strongly preferred.
