Job Description

Position: Senior Full-Stack Developer (Next.js + Modern Web)

Experience: 3–5 years total; leadership/mentoring interest preferred

Role Summary

We’re seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer who is passionate about building modern, scalable web applications using Next.js, React, and Node.js. This role is ideal for someone who is already strong technically and is looking to take on more responsibility, mentorship, and team ownership as a natural next step in their career.

You’ll be working closely with Product, Design, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features while learning and preparing to grow into a Lead role in the future.

Key Responsibilities

Backend (Node.js within Next.js) Build and maintain secure, scalable APIs using Next.js route handlers, server actions, and serverless functions.
Work with databases (PostgreSQL preferred) – schema design, migrations, performance tuning.
Implement authentication (JWT, OAuth2/OIDC, SSO) and caching (Redis/Valkey).
Collaborate with DevOps on deployments, monitoring, and observability.
Support SSR/SSG/ISR with efficient data-fetching patterns.

Frontend & Architecture Develop scalable applications in Next.js (App Router, SSR, SSG, ISR, routing).
Build user-friendly UIs with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui.
Work on multi-tenant theming, SEO, and performance optimization (Core Web Vitals).
Implement drag-and-drop UIs with dnd-kit or React DnD.
Contribute to CI/CD workflows, automated testing, and quality gates.
Growth & Collaboration Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
Mentor junior developers and share best practices.
Support planning and task breakdown alongside senior/lead engineers.
Take ownership of features and deliver them end-to-end.
Show readiness to step into team leadership responsibilities in the future.

Must-Have Skills Strong experience with
Next.js (v13/14+), React, and TypeScript.
Backend expertise with Node.js/Express and REST API development.
Database experience: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL (with ORM like Prisma/Drizzle).
State/data management: Redux, React Query, Zustand, or Context API.
Frontend styling: Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui.
Authentication & security: JWT, OAuth2/OIDC, SSO basics.
Testing & tooling: Jest, Playwright/Vitest, Git, ESLint, Prettier.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (Vercel/AWS).

Good-to-Have Experience
With GraphQL or tRPC.
Basic Docker/Kubernetes/Terraform knowledge.
Monitoring tools: Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch.
Exposure to AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure, Bedrock) and vector databases.
Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, CMS/CRM integrations, or micro-frontends.
Soft SkillsStrong communication and teamwork.
Proactive in code quality and best practices.
Eager to mentor juniors and gradually step into a Lead role.
Strong ownership and ability to deliver under deadlines.
