Job Description

1. Strategic Partnership

  • Partner with Sales leadership to understand business priorities and develop people strategies that support revenue and growth objectives.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve workforce productivity, engagement, and retention.
  • Support sales organization design, workforce planning, and talent deployment.

2. Talent Management

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to identify, attract, and onboard top sales talent.
  • Support career pathing and succession planning for critical sales roles.
  • Lead performance management processes, ensuring alignment with sales goals and targets.

3. Learning & Development

  • Collaborate with L&D teams to identify skill gaps and implement sales capability-building programs.
  • Facilitate leadership development and sales training initiatives.
  • Coach sales managers on effective people management and leadership practices.

4. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Drive engagement initiatives tailored for the sales workforce (e.g., incentives, recognition programs, engagement surveys).
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer-centricity.
  • Address employee relations issues promptly and effectively, ensuring fairness and compliance with company policies.

5. Compensation & Benefits

  • Partner with the Compensation team to design and review sales incentive programs.
  • Ensure fair and competitive pay structures aligned with performance outcomes.
  • Communicate variable pay and incentive schemes clearly to the sales teams.

6. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate implementation of HR policies, processes, and compliance requirements for the sales population.
  • Maintain HR metrics and dashboards to monitor key workforce indicators (attrition, performance, engagement, etc.).
  • Lead or support HR projects related to process improvements and system implementation.

  • Sales talent retention rate.
  • Time-to-fill for key sales roles.
  • Engagement score for sales employees.
  • Sales incentive program effectiveness.
  • Performance calibration and goal achievement alignment.
  • Employee relations resolution turnaround time.
  • .Strong ethical values and compliance-oriented attitude.

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • 6–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HRBP role supporting Sales or Commercial functions.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment (FMCG, Telecom, Pharma, or BFSI preferred).
  • Proficiency in HR systems and MS Office tools.
