Sr. Engineer Quality

Qualifications & Experience:

B. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

8 to 10 years of experience in Quality department.

Job description / Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement testing and inspection protocols for incoming goods.
• Monitor final product inspections, including functionality, packaging integrity, labelling, and shipping instructions.
• Address and resolve customer complaints regarding product quality.
• Monitor the calibration of all instruments, gauges & testing equipments from NABL lab for all department with maintaining the record of certificate for same.
• Continuously monitor and improve quality control processes to reduce defects and waste.
• Collect and analyze data on defects, failures, and returns to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any quality-related issues.
• Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection reports, test records, and compliance certifications.

· Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, including material defects, shortages, and other discrepancies.

• Perform supplier audits and assessments as needed.

Desired Skills:

• Experience of working with ERP systems.
• Knowledge in New Product Development.
• Proficient in QAP, PFD, PFMEA, CP, WI, Kaizen, GD&T, and 5S practices for implementation.
• Follow the Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Control Plan (CP) & WI to ensure product quality at every stage.
• Proficient in instruments like Bore gauge, Profile projector, bevel Protractor, Vernier, Micrometre, Durometer, Height gauge etc.

Additional skills / Knowledge:

· May be from Damper or Hydraulic Shockers manufacturing & testing background.

· P U product manufacturing & testing knowledge.

· Monitor / review the case documents for routine inspection (TPI) of railway products.

· Coordinate joint inspection/witness testing with third-party inspector for railway products.

• Certified Internal auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or IRIS or IATF.
• Can conduct Internal audits and provide input for continuous improvements

• Knowledge about testing on UTM & Hardness testing m/c.
• Experience in coordinate with suppliers regarding non-conformity in parts and ensure corrective actions are received for the same.
• Experience in handling of Machining, Casting, Tubes, Forging, Welding, Painting etc.
• Knowledge of Root cause analysis of Field failure issues & making an Action plan as per 8D methodology and CAPA.
• Can provide guidance / training to engineers & operators regarding quality standards and

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
