Sr. Engineer Planning

Position Summary

·      This position is required to take up the day-to-day planning activities and co-ordination between all departments as per the machine dispatch schedule. Able to handle all the SAP transactions and statutory requirements (certification and compliance) Need to handle the ECO and related processes in SAP system for up-dation. Use of various SAP reports like stock, Inventory, and shortage material.  Will be the key person to co-ordinate with assembly, warehouse, Quality and procurement function to bridge the gaps and assure delivery readiness as per timelines.In parallel, shall look at the end to end transactions for Inter Company sales (PO receipt, SO generation, follow-up with MM buyer, Inhouse, Quality, generate packing list and dispatch. Involve weekly/monthly calls with respective BOBST sites.

Main Responsibilities

·      Work cross-functionally to communicate proactively the requirements with procurement, quality, ware-house, Quality and assembly teams to ensure customer commitments align with production schedules.

·      Anticipating needs, issues in advance and involve developing creative solutions to resolve production problems.

·      Interaction with Procurement team on daily basis to resolve issues regarding Material availability.

·      Review and set part parameters based on consumption pattern, volume change and assign MRP type. Conversant with Forecast tools & short/long term milestone planning.

·      Release of productions orders and keep track of start and end date of machine.

·      Able to perform all SAP related activities.

·      Responsible for Inter Company Sales and related transactions.

Critical Skills and Personal Attributes

·      Well conversant with ERP system (SAP) PP module.

·      Good knowledge of material master, MRP and work scheduling activities.

·      Good analytical and domain function knowledge in terms of demand planning, forecast tools, capacity planning, subcon activities, KANBAN system.

·      Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written and fluent in local language.

·      Maintain business continuity procedures and keep the business continuity manager informed of progress on corrective actions. Perform and report on programme activities as directed.

Education and Experience

·      Graduate (B.E.) in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 6 to 8 Years of experience in Planning function and use of SAP as ERP is must.

·      For Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering with 10-12 years of experience in Planning function and use of SAP as ERP is must.

·      Experience in manufacturing/Project/Batch industry is preferred.

·      Good communication skills within plant teams as major activity is to support assembly team for getting parts on time, in full.
