Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Network Security Engineer (L2) to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls, and be a Cisco Routing and Switching expert, The role involves network configuration, troubleshooting, and supporting a secure and efficient network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat prevention.
  • Implement and support enterprise network infrastructure with a strong focus on Cisco Routing and Switching (IOS, NX-OS)
  • Perform L2-level incident management and change implementations.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security using tools like SolarWinds, SNMP etc
  • Collaborate with L1 and L2 teams for escalations, root cause analysis, and project execution.
  • Document network topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and planned maintenance activities as required

Required Skills And Experience

  • 4–8 years of relevant experience in network and security domain
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls (PAN-OS) – including rule configuration, logs analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong expertise in Cisco Routing and Switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).
  • Familiarity with network security best practices, segmentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret packet captures using Wireshark or similar tools.
