About the Role

We are looking for a Sr. Data Engineer with 4+ years of experience who can design and deliver end-to-end data architectures while also being hands-on with modern data technologies. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills in Python and PySpark with the ability to lead teams, engage with clients, and deliver complete data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Define and design scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and architecture diagrams.
• Develop data models, data flows, and frameworks for ingestion, transformation, and analytics.

Solutioning & Implementation

• Lead end-to-end solutioning of projects — from discovery and design to implementation and deployment.
• Be hands-on with Python, PySpark, SQL, and data pipelines to guide and support delivery teams.
• Build reusable components and best practices for data engineering and architecture.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and developers, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI/ML engineers, cloud architects, and business analysts.
• Drive technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.

Customer Engagement

• Conduct solution workshops, PoCs, and client presentations.
• Act as a trusted advisor for clients by recommending innovative, scalable, and cost-effective data solutions.
• Support proposal creation, RFP responses, and pre-sales discussions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on expertise in Python and PySpark (must-have).
• 4+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure – BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, data lakes, data warehousing, and real-time data pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL, distributed computing, and data processing frameworks.

Leadership Skills

• Proven experience in leading and managing teams of engineers.
• Ability to balance hands-on coding with strategic architectural leadership.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for client-facing discussions.

Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI architectures.
• Experience with data governance, lineage, and catalog tools.
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
