We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL/PLSQL development, AWS cloud services, DBT (Data Build Tool), Python, and Snowflake. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a strong educational background in computer science, information technology, or related fields, with a minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles. Proficiency in SQL and PLSQL for data manipulation and performance tuning is essential. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and EMR is required. Expertise in DBT for data transformation and modeling, along with proficiency in Python for scripting and automation, is vital. Candidates should have a good understanding of Snowflake architecture and development, as well as familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow or AWS Step Functions. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to learning and collaboration are also important for success in this role.Responsibilities
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks, including designing, developing, and optimizing robust ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL/PLSQL, DBT, and Python. Building and managing scalable data solutions on AWS infrastructure such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and EMR will be a core part of your role. You will develop and maintain data models and transformations within Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Collaborating closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver effective solutions is essential. You will also be tasked with ensuring data quality, integrity, and governance across all pipelines, monitoring workflows, troubleshooting performance issues, and implementing best practices for data engineering, including CI/CD, version control, and testing.
