Role Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Sr. Compliance Officer (Legal)
who will independently manage the organization s legal and compliance framework. The role requires strong expertise in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, MoUs, litigation matters, compliance structures, and due diligence processes. The individual will be responsible for safeguarding the business and ensuring legal and regulatory adherence across all operations. Key Responsibilities

Legal Drafting & Review
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MoUs, agreements, and legal documents.
- Draft legal replies and ensure accuracy in all legal correspondence.

Compliance & Governance
- Build and implement a compliance structure tailored to MetaApply s business.
- Conduct timely due diligence and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Regularly review and update policies, processes, and compliance frameworks.

Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Handle litigation, legal notices, and investigations.
- Lead the resolution of disputes and oversee complaint management.
- Liaise with external legal counsel, authorities, and law enforcement agencies when required.

Advisory & Risk Management
- Advise management on legal risks, compliance matters, and mitigation strategies.
- Protect the organization s business interests, reputation, and employees from legal exposure.

Documentation & Repository Management
- Maintain an organized repository of contracts, MoUs, and legal documents.
- Ensure accessibility, security, and proper record-keeping of all compliance-related files.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Law (LLB); Master s degree (LLM) preferred.
- 8 10 years of proven experience in Legal & Compliance roles.
- Strong expertise in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Hands-on experience in litigation, investigations, and dispute resolution.
- Solid understanding of compliance, due diligence, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong ethical standards, integrity, and business acumen.
