As part of our expansion in Tamil Nadu, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to strengthen our aluminium windows and doors business in the Chennai market.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth for aluminium windows and doors by developing relationships with builders, developers, architects, and consultants, and converting opportunities into profitable orders. The role demands strong market knowledge, technical understanding of fenestration systems, and proven deal-closure capability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute business development strategies for aluminium windows and doors in the Chennai region.
2. Identify and engage with real estate developers, builders, contractors, architects, and PMC consultants.
3. Track upcoming residential and commercial projects and influence specifications at design stage.
4. Generate enquiries, prepare proposals in coordination with design, estimation, and factory teams.
5. Lead price negotiations, finalize commercial terms, and close orders.
6. Maintain a robust sales pipeline and achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
7. Coordinate with production, logistics, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
8. Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market opportunities.
9. Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports on leads, conversions, and revenue.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (MBA preferred).
5–10 years of experience in business development or sales within:
Aluminium windows & doors
Fenestration systems
Façade or building materials industry
Strong network with Chennai-based developers, architects, and contractors.
Sound technical understanding of aluminium profiles, glass options, hardware, and performance requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Comfortable working with drawings, BOQs, specifications, and tenders.
