Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer with 6–8 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Android applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and user experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, and release.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and other data exchange protocols for app–server communication.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and resolve bugs, bottlenecks, and performance issues.
• Maintain clean, modular, and reusable code following best coding practices.
• Integrate third-party SDKs, APIs, and libraries.
• Guide and mentor junior developers, conducting code reviews and technical training.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve app development practices.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure apps are tested and released with high quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions and help in building scalable solutions.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Experience with Android SDK, Jetpack components (LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation, Data Binding).
• Solid understanding of MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Retrofit, OkHttp, Gson, Glide/Picasso, Coroutines/Flow.
• Familiarity with Google Play Store submission process, app signing, and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of SQLite/Room Database and offline data management.
• Proficient in using Android Studio, Gradle, and Git.
• Good understanding of Material Design guidelines and building intuitive UI/UX.
• Knowledge of background services, WorkManager, push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
• Familiarity with Unit Testing, Instrumentation Testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of security best practices for mobile apps (data encryption, secure storage, authentication).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with BLE, NFC, or IoT integration.
• Familiarity with Flutter/React Native for cross-platform development.
• Knowledge of Dagger/Hilt (Dependency Injection).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in payment gateway, fintech, or high-security apps.
• Contribution to open-source Android projects or apps on the Play Store.
