Job Description

About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and proactive SQL Database Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize our Microsoft SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database availability, performance, and security, while supporting development teams and business operations.Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments.Monitor database performance, conduct performance tuning, and troubleshoot slow-running queries and issues.Perform backup and restore operations, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.Implement and manage database security, access controls, and encryption.Automate routine maintenance tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, or SQL Agent Jobs.Maintain documentation for database processes, standards, and procedures.Support developers in writing efficient queries, stored procedures, and indexes.Plan and implement database migrations, upgrades, and patches.Skills & Qualifications:2–4 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019 preferred).Proficiency in T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization techniques.Experience with backup and restore strategies, AlwaysOn Availability Groups, and replication.Familiarity with monitoring tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, or third-party tools.Understanding of database security, auditing, and compliance.Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Preferred (Nice to Have):Exposure to cloud-based SQL platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS).Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies.Experience with SSIS, SSRS, or SSAS.How to Apply:Kindly share your resume at info@primeverse.inWith a subject: Application for SQL Admin
