DSP / Audio Analytics Consultant

As an audio expert for a company based in Hyderabad, India, you will be responsible for delivering low-latency acoustic anomaly detection for gunshot, impact, and shout events. Your role will involve selecting and adapting edge-friendly audio models, defining thresholds per zone, engineering robust preprocessing techniques, and handling sensor-fusion timing with optical events. Additionally, you may be required to design mic-array/TDOA roadmap for future projects and build evaluation sets for tuning purposes. Key Responsibilities: - Select and adapt edge-friendly audio models for gunshot/impact/shout and define thresholds per zone. - Engineer robust preprocessing techniques including resampling, VAD, log-mel/spec features, clipping/AGC handling, and channel calibration. - Define t gating vs. optical events, handle device offsets, and publish evidence such as onset time and spectral signature. - Design mic-array/TDOA roadmap for future projects including array geometry, beamforming options, and calibration SOP. - Build an evaluation set comprising curated clips and confusers, and create scorecards for tuning low false alarms. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in DSP/audio ML using torchaudio/librosa for real-time classification on edge hardware. - Experience in model deployment using ONNX/TensorRT, streaming pipelines, and latency profiling. - Practical knowledge in dealing with noisy environments such as reverberation, HVAC, impulse sounds, and crowd noise.
