Sourcing Specialist

You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of raw materials, fabrics, trims, and finished garments for a fashion brand. To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum of 5 years of sourcing experience within the fashion industry, strong negotiation skills, and a profound understanding of supply chain management. Your key responsibilities will include identifying and establishing relationships with reliable suppliers, negotiating pricing and quality standards, conducting market research for innovative materials, developing sourcing strategies, ensuring compliance with quality and ethical standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring supplier performance, tracking market trends, and maintaining accurate records. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management in the fashion industry. Additionally, you should have a strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and textile production processes, excellent negotiation and communication skills, familiarity with ethical sourcing and sustainability practices, ability to manage multiple suppliers under tight deadlines, proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, and an analytical mindset focused on cost optimization and efficiency. Preferred qualifications include experience in apparel, footwear, or accessories sourcing, familiarity with international sourcing and global supply chain management, and knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards in the fashion industry.
