Job Description

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will play a crucial role in partnering with Category Managers to develop strategies for product supply or services, drive RFx activities, and manage strategic programs. Your responsibilities will include: - Working with Category Managers to define cost/delivery/quality improvement project objectives and ensuring the projects are managed effectively to meet commitments. - Supporting/leading sourcing projects in collaboration with Category Managers to drive enhancements in cost, delivery, and quality. - Preparing supplier selection recommendations through the RFQ process, supplier evaluation, and communication, as well as participating in sourcing decisions. - Managing suppliers to achieve objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule, and quality. - Collaborating with Category Managers and Functional Stakeholders to ensure completion of project tasks and milestones. - Driving cost reduction initiatives, conducting supplier pre-award reviews, overseeing development milestones, and approval processes. - Developing, implementing, and executing procurement strategies to achieve cost savings targets. In terms of qualifications and certifications, we are looking for candidates who possess: - A Bachelor's Degree (in Engineering or Supply Chain preferred) from a top-tier University with good academic records (60% & above across all academics). For the ideal candidate, we are seeking someone with the following experience and skills: - 10+ years of experience in direct sourcing in mechanical commodities, preferably in multi-national, global operations. - Process knowledge in commodities such as machining, casting, sheet metal, forging, and investment casting, with a focus on sheet metal machining. - Familiarity with heat treatment and surface treatments like Zinc plating, chrome plating, etc. - Knowledge of PPAP, 8D, Cp, Cpk, SPC study, Inco terms, zero-based costing, negotiation, business case analysis, and handling transfer projects. Additionally, proficiency in the following areas is required: - Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with the ability to work with databases for calculating summary, financial, and statistical data. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English and preferably proficiency in multiple languages. - Demonstrated success in project management and a broad knowledge of project management tools. - Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to effectively engage and communicate with multiple global stakeholders. - Flexibility to work in global time zones to support US and Europe business operations.,
