Sourcing and Logistics Executive

Purpose/Objective

Responsible for strategic initiatives in fuel oil sourcing and procurement, fostering relationships with suppliers and optimizing logistics coordination globally. Manage pricing strategies and contract negotiations to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory compliance. Oversee strategic storage management at Mundra site, ensuring optimal inventory levels and operational efficiency. Direct logistics operations, including barge and floater management, to enhance transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Provide senior management with comprehensive insights and risk assessments to drive informed decision-making across all supply chain facets.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Sourcing and Logistics Executive Product Sourcing and Procurement: - Assist in identifying and establishing relationships with reliable fuel oil suppliers to ensure a consistent supply. - Assist in charge in Fostering strategic collaboration with logistics teams to optimize the transportation of fuel oil via rail and maritime routes, ensuring seamless coordination with cargo suppliers. - Support the development of strategies for mitigating supply chain risks, including disruptions in the shipping market or geopolitical factors. Pricing and Contract Management: - Maintain a strategic view of global fuel oil pricing trends, analyse market data, and guide the development of competitive pricing strategies. - Assist in strategic negotiations with key suppliers, setting overarching terms and directives to ensure alignment with the company's long-term business objectives and cost-effectiveness’. - Apply knowledge of Incoterms, including commercial and payment terms, effectively in negotiations and contracts. - Lead the entire contract lifecycle, from negotiation to execution, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. - Support the implementation of logistics strategies to optimize costs and delivery times. Strategic Storage Management: - Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping for the management of fuel oil storage facilities, with a primary focus on the Mundra site, to maintain optimal inventory levels and maximize cost efficiency. - Support lead to lease with Operations team in coordinating daily storage and distribution activities and implementing solutions to improve operational efficiency - Conduct daily inventory checks and quality control testing to ensure operational standards are met, maintaining consistency in fuel oil product integrity. - Support compliance with safety protocols and regulations, providing senior management with detailed reports and risk assessments to facilitate informed decision making in storage operations. Logistics Tank and Rail Management: - Effectively manage and maintain contract of barges and floaters. - Lead initiatives to optimize barge and floater utilization, implementing data driven strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness’ in transportation logistics. - Assist lead to coordinate with suppliers and railways for the timely placement, loading, and movement of rakes. - Support the contracting of tank trucks for physical supplies from various sources.
