Software Tester

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven Software Tester with 1–3 years of experience to join our QA team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of software products across multiple client projects. This role involves a mix of manual and automated testing, and encourages the use of AI tools, Python scripting, and cloud testing platforms (like AWS) to enhance speed and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and create test plans, test cases, and test data for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Execute manual test cases and identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira or similar.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, PyTest, or similar frameworks.
• Leverage

  AI tools

  (e.g., Testim, Mabl, or ChatGPT) to auto-generate test cases, summarize defect reports, or perform exploratory testing.
• Use

  Python

  for scripting and test automation, particularly for backend API testing, data validation, or CI pipelines.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or REST-assured.
• Perform testing on

  AWS-hosted environments

  , including validating deployments, configurations, and integrations.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and DevOps engineers to ensure test coverage and shift-left testing.
• Contribute to continuous testing strategies in Agile/Scrum environments and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Maintain detailed documentation and generate reports on test results and quality metrics.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation) within a software engineering services or consulting environment.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies (black box, white box, regression, smoke, UAT, etc.).
• Experience with at least one automation tool: Selenium, Cypress, Robot Framework, or similar.
• Good scripting skills in

  Python

  for automation and data-driven testing.
• Exposure to

  AI-powered testing tools

  (e.g., Testim, Functionize, Applitools, or ChatGPT for documentation).
• Familiarity with

  API testing tools

  like Postman or REST-assured.
• Basic understanding of

  AWS

  services related to testing and deployment (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda).
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a passion for quality.

Nice to Have

• ISTQB certification or similar QA credential.
• Experience testing in CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of database querying (SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Exposure to security, performance, or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
• Interest in AI/ML model validation or testing AI-powered products.
• Validate and monitor the performance of AI/LLM features using tools like Giskard, Ragas and TrueLens
• Conduct functional and behavioral testing of GenAI outputs - evaluating accuracy, bias, hallucination, and reliability across real-world scenarios using structured testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to define test strategies for AI-powered features, incorporating human feedback, trace analysis, and observability data to improve model alignment and UX.
