The Software Sales Executive is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new software sales opportunities. The role involves understanding client needs, offering suitable software solutions, conducting product demos, negotiating contracts, and building long-term client relationships to achieve sales targets. Key Responsibilities: Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify potential clients through cold calling, networking, and social media. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads. Follow up on incoming leads and referrals. Client Needs Analysis: Understand client business challenges and software requirements. Conduct meetings to assess client pain points and propose relevant solutions. Product Presentation & Demonstration: Give product demos to prospective clients. Clearly explain the benefits and features of the software. Sales & Negotiation: Prepare and deliver proposals and quotes. Negotiate pricing, terms, and close deals. Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets. Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong post-sales relationships with clients. Coordinate with support and implementation teams to ensure client satisfaction. Upsell and cross-sell additional products or services. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of sales activities in CRM. Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management. Market Intelligence: Keep updated with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions. Provide feedback to product and marketing teams for improvements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in software sales or IT sales (preferred). Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Understanding of software products and the IT industry. Self-motivated, target-oriented, and result-driven. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office.
