Were seeking Software Development Engineers (SDEs) to build our next-generation platform that will power Amazons global regionalization initiatives. About The Team
The North America Store (NAS) Regionalization (R13N) Team, part of VASTech and HLIT Org owns Regionalization charter for WW regional programs. The team builds scalable WRAP compliant regional solutions and provides a singular framework that fulfills regionalization program needs WW.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Experience in Java, C++, or C# (expert in at least one)
- 2+ years industry experience in developing and launching production grade software
- Good UNIX or Linux experience
- Understanding of database theory and solid experience in at least one relational of non-relational DBMS
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with focus on quality and customer experience
- Attention to detail coupled with ability to think abstractly
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
