Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative, passionate, and results-driven Social Media Manager to manage and grow our official Transcendental Meditation (TM) Social Media Presence Facebook and Instagram and Linkedin, X and Youtube in India.

This role requires a deep understanding of social media trends, content creation, community engagement, and a genuine appreciation for the TM technique and its principles. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in increasing brand awareness, engaging our community, and driving interest in learning TM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy & Planning:

o Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy suited for different social media handles, tailored to the Indian audience, aligning with TM's global messaging and local objectives.

o Plan and manage content calendars, ensuring a consistent and engaging posting schedule.

• Content Creation & Curation:

o Create compelling, high-quality, and authentic content (graphics, videos, stories, reels, carousels, text posts) that educates, and engages the target audience.

o Ensure all content accurately represents the TM technique and its benefits, adhering to brand guidelines and messaging.

o Basic video editing skills for social media formats.

• Community Management & Engagement:

o Actively monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages promptly and thoughtfully, fostering a positive and interactive community.

o Identify and engage with relevant influencers, practitioners, and organizations in the wellness sector.

o Monitor and report on online conversations related to TM and general meditation/wellness trends.

• Performance Analysis & Reporting:

o Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics (reach, engagement, conversions, follower growth) using analytical tools.

o Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing content and strategy based on performance data.

o Manage and optimize paid social media campaigns (Facebook/Instagram Ads) to increase reach and conversions.

• Brand Advocacy:

o Act as a brand ambassador for TM, embodying its principles and communicating its benefits authentically.

o Stay updated with TM research, news, and events to ensure accurate and timely content.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of proven experience as a Social Media Manager, specifically managing Facebook and Instagram for a brand, preferably in the wellness, lifestyle, or education sectors.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Hindi is a significant advantage.

• Demonstrable experience in content creation, including copywriting, graphic design (Canva, Adobe Spark, basic Photoshop/Illustrator), and video editing for social media.

• In-depth knowledge of Facebook and Instagram algorithms, best practices, and analytics tools.

• Experience with paid social media advertising (Facebook Ads Manager).

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
