ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you will play a key role in creating, managing, and optimising content across various social media platforms. This position offers hands-on experience in social media strategy, community engagement, content planning, and campaign execution to enhance brand visibility and audience interaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Content Creation & Management – Assist in developing creative and engaging content for social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and more.
• Social Media Strategy – Support in planning and executing social media campaigns aligned with brand objectives.
• Community Engagement – Interact with followers, respond to comments/messages, and foster a vibrant online community.
• Trend Research – Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and emerging formats to enhance content strategy.
• Analytics & Reporting – Track social media performance, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and suggest data-driven improvements.
• Collaboration – Coordinate with the design, influencer, and content teams to ensure cohesive brand communication across platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Essential

• Pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Strong passion for social media and digital marketing.
• Excellent communication, creativity, and multitasking skills.
• Familiarity with major platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X (Twitter).
• Proficiency or interest in using tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar scheduling/analytics platforms.
• Organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
