Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Social Media Manager with strong managerial and organisational capabilities to lead and oversee our social media function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that social media activities are aligned with brand objectives, delivered consistently at a high standard, and executed efficiently through well-defined systems and processes.


Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Strategy & Planning

* Develop and manage weekly and monthly social media content calendars.

* Translate marketing priorities into clear content themes, narratives, and deliverables.

* Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all platforms.

2. Team Management

* Coordinate editors, designers, videographers, and external vendors or freelancers.

* Assign tasks with clearly defined outcomes, timelines, and quality expectations.

* Ensure timely execution of deliverables while maintaining accountability across the team.

3. Content Review & Quality Assurance

* Review all content prior to publishing to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment.

* Maintain high quality standards across all formats, including video, static, and written content.

4. Performance Monitoring & Optimisation

* Track and analyse key performance indicators such as reach, engagement, saves, and audience growth.

* Identify trends, insights, and areas of improvement based on content performance.

* Recommend data-driven refinements to content strategy and execution.

5. Process & Workflow Management

* Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for content creation, review, and publishing.

* Streamline workflows to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure consistency.

* Build scalable systems that enable predictable and repeatable outcomes.

* Outcome-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency and leverage. 


Functional & Technical Skills

* Proven experience managing social media platforms, particularly Instagram , YouTube, twitter and LinkedIn.

* Experience working with creative teams and overseeing content production.

* Familiarity with social media analytics, reporting tools, and content scheduling platforms.

* Strong organizational and project management skills.

* Attention to detail without losing sight of broader objectives.

* Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.


Preferred Qualifications

* Prior experience in a managerial or lead social media role.

* Experience in a premium, service-driven, or brand-led organisation is an advantage.

* Background in fitness, health, lifestyle, or education sectors is a plus.
