Job Title: Site Engineer - Civil

One of our leading clients, an Auto-component Tier 1 Supplier is looking for a Site Engineer for the site expansion project at Pune.

A Site Engineer plays a crucial role in the construction industry, ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They oversee day-to-day activities on the construction site, coordinate teams, and ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Management & Supervision:

Oversee construction site operations, ensuring that work is carried out according to the plans, specifications, and safety standards. Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers, contractors, and subcontractors. Monitor daily progress of work and ensure that it aligns with project timelines. Organize and maintain site records, including attendance, daily reports, and material usage.

2. Technical Support:

Provide technical advice to contractors and workers to resolve construction issues on-site. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure work is done as per plans. Ensure that the construction methods comply with the design and quality standards set out in the project.

3. Quality Control:

Monitor the quality of work to ensure that it meets both client and regulatory standards. Conduct inspections of construction materials, equipment, and work procedures. Report any deviations or defects to the project manager and recommend corrective measures.

4. Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure that all work on-site is performed safely and follows industry health and safety guidelines. Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments to prevent accidents. Ensure that workers use appropriate safety equipment and follow safety protocols.

5. Coordination and Communication:

Act as the liaison between the construction team, architects, engineers, and Aditya team to ensure smooth project execution. Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. Organize and attend site meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and deadlines.

6. Resource Management:

Assist in the planning and management of resources such as labor, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements. Ensure proper allocation of resources to avoid delays and reduce costs. Monitor inventory levels and track material usage to ensure efficient resource utilization.

7. Project Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive documentation for the entire construction project, including contracts, permits, and schedules. Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management, contractors. Ensure that all legal and environmental regulations are adhered to and that all required permits and inspections are obtained.

8. Budget and Cost Control:

Assist in estimating project costs and help manage the projects budget. Track expenses, verify invoices, and ensure that spending stays within the budget. Identify and mitigate any risks or challenges that could lead to cost overruns or delays.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience: requires 1- 3 years of experience in construction or civil engineering.

Language (Must) : Marathi / Hindi / English

Skills:

Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.

Familiarity with construction software (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Good understanding of safety standards and environmental regulations.
