Job Title: Control System Engineer (B&R Automation Specialist)

Department: R&D / Automation

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

Looking for a highly skilled Control System Engineer with proven expertise in B&R Automation systems and Automation Studio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing control software for our flexographic printing machines. Prior knowledge of flexographic machine operations will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain control system software using B&R Automation Studio.
  • Implement and troubleshoot HMI/visualization systems.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical design teams to integrate control systems into the overall machine architecture.
  • Manage version control and documentation of software projects in repositories.
  • Optimize control logic for machine performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Participate in system commissioning, testing, and debugging at the factory and customer sites (including remote support).
  • Provide advanced support to service and maintenance teams for resolving control-related issues.
  • Prepare training materials, manuals, and technical documentation for internal teams and end users.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in control system programming with B&R Automation Studio.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, motion control, and industrial communication protocols (Powerlink, Modbus, OPC-UA, CAN, Ethernet/IP).
  • Experience in HMI development and remote access systems.
  • Proficiency in structured text, ladder logic, and modular project structures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging abilities.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and control schematics.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in flexographic printing machines, packaging machinery, or other web handling systems.
  • Knowledge of servo drives, tension control, registration systems, and print process workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with integrating third-party sensors and devices (e.g., cameras, encoders).
