Job Description – Qulaity Engineer With Branch Operation

Position Overview:
The role involves overseeing branch operations, managing production activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and implementing process improvements in a sheet metal fabrication and assembly environment. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining production efficiency, optimizing resource utilization, and driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Branch Operations & Team Management:

Supervise day-to-day production and quality activities; lead and mentor cross-functional teams to achieve departmental goals and operational targets.

  • Sheet Metal Fabrication & Assembly Process:

Plan, monitor, and control sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly processes to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

  • Production Planning & Control (PPC):

Prepare production schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and coordinate with procurement, stores, and maintenance teams for smooth workflow.

  • In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQA):

Implement and monitor in-process inspection systems to ensure products meet design specifications and customer requirements.

  • Quality Tools & Problem Solving:

Utilize tools such as 7 QC, 5 Why, 8D, Pareto analysis, and Kaizen to identify root causes, reduce rejections, and implement corrective actions.

  • Vendor Quality & Supplier Development:

Collaborate with suppliers to enhance material quality, assess vendor performance, and support development activities for continuous improvement.

  • ISO 9001:2015 / IATF 16949 Compliance:

Ensure all manufacturing and documentation practices comply with quality management system standards.

  • Process Layout & Material Flow:

Design and optimize process layouts to improve material flow, reduce cycle time, and ensure balanced production lines.

  • Cost Reduction & Productivity Improvement:

Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives through process optimization, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement.

  • Client Coordination & Customer Handling:

Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams; address customer feedback, manage audits, and ensure timely issue resolution.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering
  • 8 years of experience in production, quality, or manufacturing operations (preferably in sheet metal or automotive industry)
  • Strong knowledge of ISO / IATF standards, lean manufacturing, and quality tools
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹46,066.80 per month
