We are seeking a skilled and motivated ServiceNow ITOM & CMDB Engineer to join our IT Service Management team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining ServiceNow ITOM modules and managing the CMDB to ensure accurate and reliable configuration data across the enterprise.

we are looking for someone with both ITOM implementation and support experience. Specifically, we are needing someone with Service Mapping implementation experience who also has support experience across all ITOM modules (CSDM, CMDB, Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, etc.). This role will be a lead role to achieve our ITOM objectives of mapping out key IT services while improving upon our current CMDB.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain ServiceNow ITOM modules including Discovery, Event Management, Orchestration, and Service Mapping.
• Develop and maintain a robust CMDB structure, ensuring data integrity, normalization, and reconciliation.
• Integrate ServiceNow with monitoring tools and external data sources to enhance ITOM capabilities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure accurate CI relationships and data modeling.
• Create and manage MID Servers, probes, sensors, and patterns for effective discovery.
• Implement automation workflows using ServiceNow Orchestration and Flow Designer.
• Monitor and optimize CMDB health using dashboards and reports.
• Participate in change management and incident resolution processes related to CMDB and ITOM.
• Document technical solutions, configurations, and best practices.

📚 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5 +years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM modules and CMDB.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and configuration management principles.
• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (JavaScript, PowerShell, Python) and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Knowledge of infrastructure components (servers, network devices, cloud platforms).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM or CMDB.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
