Job Description

Job Summary:

The Automobile Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, productivity, and profitability. This role involves managing service staff, coordinating repair and maintenance work, maintaining service records, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all service department personnel, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
  • Schedule and assign work to service technicians based on skill level and workload.
  • Monitor repair and maintenance work to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure all service work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement service procedures, policies, and best practices.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain service records and ensure accuracy of repair orders and invoices.
  • Monitor and control expenses within the department.
  • Train and develop staff to improve performance and customer service.
  • Work closely with parts and sales departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Stay current with manufacturer updates, recalls, and warranty policies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental laws.
  • Prepare reports on service department performance for upper management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in an automotive service environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in service management software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack).
  • Valid driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
