ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Service Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing solar power systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Installation and Support

  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of solar systems at customer sites.
  • Ensure solar panels, inverters, and other components are properly set up and function as per specifications.

Maintenance and Repair

  • Troubleshoot and repair issues related to solar panels, inverters, and battery systems.

Customer Support

  • Provide on-site technical support for customers, offering solutions to any operational issues.
  • Educate customers on the proper use and maintenance of their solar systems.

System diagnostics

  • Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve performance issues with solar equipment.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of service activities, including reports on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance work.

Compliance and Safety

  • Educate the customer to adhere to safety protocols and company standards while working on-site.

Inventory Management

  • Assist with managing spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of necessary components.
  • Order and maintain supplies required for regular stock of BOS products.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the solar energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of solar power systems, including solar panels, inverters, and battery storage systems.


REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willing to travel to various job sites as required.


PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Certification in solar installation or maintenance.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, AC/DC systems, and electrical safety practices.
  • Experience with solar monitoring software and performance analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with local renewable energy standards and regulations.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Comfortable with manual labor and physically demanding tasks.
