We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Server Administrator responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining enterprise-level IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The role requires deep hands-on expertise with Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage systems, cloud services, networking fundamentals, and web hosting technologies. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability of systems while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The Senior Server Administrator will be responsible for installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux servers, along with managing virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi/vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V. The role includes handling existing host management, server upgrades, patching, migrations, and performance tuning. The candidate must have strong experience in managing SAN and NAS storage systems, including capacity planning, provisioning, performance optimization, and high availability.
The position requires hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS and Google Cloud, covering virtual machine provisioning, storage, networking, security, monitoring, and cost optimization in hybrid environments. Strong expertise in Active Directory is essential, including user and group management, Group Policy, DNS integration, and authentication services. The role also involves implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam Backup & Replication, ensuring data protection, backup verification, and recovery testing.
The candidate will manage web hosting environments and web services using IIS, Apache, and Nginx, including website deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, SSL certificate management, and hosting multiple websites. Strong DNS knowledge is required, including zone management, record configuration, and advanced troubleshooting. The role also requires solid Layer-2 networking knowledge such as VLANs and switching fundamentals, along with basic firewall configuration including rules, NAT, and access control.
The Senior Server Administrator is expected to work closely with internal teams, provide technical leadership, mentor junior administrators, maintain documentation, follow best practices, and participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and on-call support. Strong problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a team environment are essential for success in this role.
