Skills and Experience Required: 3+ years of work experience Genetic Counselling. Sound knowledge in Genetic Tests and ability to communicate with Patients & Clinicians. Knowledge on Pre test and Post test counselling Key responsibilities of the Role: Provide Pre-Test & Post-Test genetic counselling by audio or video mode. Provide in-person counselling at hospitals or clinics whenever required. Consult with the Clinical Geneticist and treating clinician where required. Analyse patient histories, draw a 3-generation pedigree, and maintain GC records. Educating individuals and at-risk family members about genetics, genetic disorders, and their consequences. Discussing the option of genetic testing and the possible outcomes. Provide psychosocial support through the genetic testing process. Explaining test results to individuals, discussing the impact of the result on self and other members of the family. Help them make decisions for further testing based on test results.
