Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Video Editor to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be a master of their craft with extensive experience in post-production workflows, advanced editing techniques, and creative storytelling. You will be responsible for leading editing projects from concept to final delivery, mentoring junior editors, and ensuring the highest quality output that aligns with client objectives and creative vision. 

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Video Editing & Post-Production: Lead end-to-end editing of complex video projects, including commercials, corporate videos, documentaries, and digital content. Execute advanced editing techniques, color grading, motion graphics integration, and audio mixing to deliver polished final products. 
• Creative Leadership & Storytelling: Collaborate with directors, producers, and creative teams to translate creative vision into compelling visual narratives. Provide creative input on story structure, pacing, and visual treatment while maintaining the integrity of the original concept. 
• Project Management & Quality Control: Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. Conduct thorough reviews and implement feedback from stakeholders while maintaining creative excellence. 
• Technical Expertise & Innovation: Stay current with latest editing software, plugins, and post-production technologies. Implement innovative editing techniques and workflows to enhance efficiency and creative output. Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize editing workflows. 
• Team Mentorship & Collaboration: Guide and mentor junior editors, providing feedback and training on advanced editing techniques. Collaborate effectively with cinematographers, sound engineers, motion graphics artists, and other post-production specialists. 
• Client Interaction & Feedback Management: Present rough cuts and final edits to clients, incorporating feedback while maintaining creative vision. Communicate effectively with clients regarding timelines, revisions, and technical specifications. 
• Asset Management & Organization: Maintain organized project files, media assets, and version control systems. Ensure proper archiving and backup procedures for all project materials and deliverables. 

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in a production house, advertising agency, or media company environment 
• Advanced proficiency in industry-standard editing software (Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) 
• Strong skills in color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics integration 
• Experience with various video formats, codecs, and delivery specifications for different platforms 
• Proven portfolio demonstrating creative excellence and technical proficiency across diverse project types 
• Understanding of cinematography principles, visual storytelling techniques, and post-production workflows 
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously 
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with creative teams and clients 
• Experience mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development
