Responsible for defining the UX strategy, conducting user research, leading the design team, collaborating with cross-functional teams, creating prototypes, conducting north star workshops, stakeholder management, and advocating for user-centric design. They ensure the final product is functional, intuitive, and enjoyable for users.14-17 years of Exp
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of UX designers to ensure high-quality design outputs.
- Hands -on Designer – using UX design using Tools like FIGMA.
- Develop and execute user experience strategies and design principles.
- Lead discovery, design workshops, facilitating north star sessions and user research
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align design work with business goals.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Ensure consistency and coherence of design across all platforms and devices.
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate best practices into design processes.
- Advocate and design using user-centered design practices within the organization.
- Contribute to State Street Design System by adding and maintaining the design components.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- Minimum of 14 years of experience in UX design, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX design and problem-solving.
- Experience with various design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD).
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Experience with leveraging AI for UX desing is a a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and lead a team of designers.
- Experience in conducting usability testing and user research.
