Role Overview

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites across UI, API, and microservices layers.
• Define and implement end-to-end automation strategies and best practices across complex application ecosystems.
• Work with QA, development, and product teams to ensure test coverage, code quality, and early defect detection.
• Build and integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps practices.
• Create automated tests simulating real-world financial user journeys, validating data accuracy across systems.
• Perform database testing and advanced SQL scripting for data validation and test data management.
• Drive adoption of automation in mobile and cloud platforms (e.g., Headspin, Perfecto).
• Collaborate globally across teams, with excellent communication and coordination skills.
  

Mandatory Skills

• Languages/Frameworks: Java (preferred), Python, JavaScript, or Groovy
• UI Automation: Selenium, Appium, Playwright
• API Testing: Rest Assured, SoapUI
• BDD Frameworks: Cucumber
• Version Control: GitHub
• CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, CloudBuild, or similar
• Database Testing: Advanced SQL
• Test Management Tools: Jira, Xray, TestRail, or ALM
• Mobile Testing: Experience with tools/platforms like Perfecto, Headspin
• Domain Experience: Strong experience in the finance or fintech domain
  

Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills

• Performance Testing Tools: JMeter, LoadRunner
• Exposure to Linux/Unix environments
• Experience with AI tools like GenAI in test automation
• Familiarity with current trends in automation frameworks and tooling
  

Experience Required

• Minimum: 6+ years in QA/Test Automation roles
• Domain: Strong exposure to financial applications preferred
  

Educational Qualification

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Preferred: Master's Degree (optional)
