Job Summary:

Manual Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand business requirements and functional specifications related to life insurance products and processes.
• Design, write, and execute comprehensive test cases based on system requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT support testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
• Validate calculations and workflow logic related to insurance products (e.g., premiums, policies, claims).
• Work closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure testing coverage.
• Perform back-end testing including database validation using SQL queries.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, review meetings, and QA status updates.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Mandatory: 1–4 years of experience in manual testing along with minimum 6 months of experience in Life Asia tool, Life Insurance domain or Ignenium tool.

• Strong knowledge of life insurance operations – policy issuance, servicing, underwriting, claims, etc.
• Proficient in manual testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM).
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
