Senior Test Engineer

Requirements and Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in system-level and application-level testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Manual Testing and Test Automation using Playwright/Cypress.
• Skilled in functional, regression, integration, cross-browser, and end-to-end testing.
• Proficient in test planning, test case design, execution, defect logging, and defect lifecycle management.
• Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), QA best practices, and test documentation standards.
• Good exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies, sprint-based testing, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality software products and continually improving test processes and automation frameworks.
• Strong communication skills and an excellent team player with a proactive learning attitude.

Responsibilities :

• Review requirements, user stories, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and insightful QA feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for various features and projects.
• Estimate effort, prioritize tasks, plan testing timelines, and coordinate testing activities across sprints.
• Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts using open-source automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
• Identify, document, and track defects thoroughly using standard defect tracking tools, ensuring clear reproduction steps and severity classification.
• Perform detailed regression testing, smoke testing, and retesting after defect fixes to ensure product stability.
• Implement and refine testing processes for both new and existing products to meet evolving project and client requirements.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams including developers, product managers, and designers to clarify requirements and ensure full test coverage.
• Monitor and analyze debugging results, ensuring issues are addressed effectively and timely.
• Investigate root causes of software issues and support teams or end-users in implementing corrective actions.
• Track and report key QA metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and open defect counts to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with emerging testing tools, automation frameworks, and best practices to continuously improve QA effectiveness.
