Job Title: Technical Project Manager/Product Manager – BI Tooling & Data Visualization Location: Remote Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Technical Project Manager / Product Manager to lead the execution and delivery of business intelligence (BI) tooling and data visualization solutions. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end product lifecycles, own backlog prioritization, collaborate with partner teams to ensure cohesive user journeys, and define the next phase of reporting capabilities. This role will also be instrumental in conducting tooling assessments, managing POCs, and supporting stakeholder engagement and communication. Key Responsibilities: Execution & Delivery: Drive the successful execution of BI and data visualization projects from concept to delivery. Define and manage project plans, timelines, risks, and dependencies. Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, design, data engineering, and analytics. Product Management & Backlog Ownership: Own the product backlog for BI tooling and reporting solutions. Gather, document, and prioritize requirements from multiple business stakeholders. Ensure alignment between business needs and technical execution. Conduct sprint planning, backlog grooming, and reviews. Tooling & POC Management: Lead the assessment and evaluation of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.). Manage and track Proofs of Concept (POCs) for new tools or features. Make data-driven recommendations for tool selection and capability expansion. User Journey & Experience Cohesion: Collaborate with partner product and engineering teams to align user journeys across data and analytics products. Identify and resolve user experience gaps and inconsistencies. Reporting & Data Capabilities: Define and prioritize Phase 2 reporting capabilities, ensuring scalability and user-centric design. Translate complex data requirements into actionable product features and specifications. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for BI-related initiatives with internal stakeholders. Maintain strong communication and manage expectations across business units and leadership. Provide regular updates, dashboards, and documentation to communicate progress and impact. Required: 6+ years of experience in technical project or product management roles, ideally in BI or analytics-focused environments. Proven experience with agile methodologies, backlog management, and sprint execution. Strong understanding of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and data pipelines. Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects and tool assessments. Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong stakeholder management skills. Preferred: Experience in data engineering, data governance, or enterprise analytics platforms. Familiarity with SQL and data modeling concepts.
