Senior Technical Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and technical requirements for complex systems
• Create user stories, detailed use cases, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, product & architecture teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), and release planning
• Develop and maintain process workflows, data flow diagrams, API documentation, ER diagrams
• Translate business needs into functional and technical solutions; define system integrations, data flows
• Work with stakeholders (business & technical) to prioritize requirements; manage scope changes and communicate impact
• Conduct impact analysis for new initiatives and system changes
• Participate in system design discussions; recommend improvements and best practices for system maintainability, scalability, performance
• Mentor/junior analysts if applicable; help improve team standards of documentation, review, etc.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role
• Strong knowledge of full SDLC (Waterfall / Agile / Scrum)
• Prior coding/scripting experience (e.g. at least one of: Java / Python / JavaScript / .NET / other), or experience writing scripts, working with APIs programmatically
• Solid understanding of system integration, APIs, data flows, databases
• Ability to write SQL queries (at least intermediate level)
• Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence (or similar), wireframing/mockup tools (e.g. Figma, Balsamiq, Sketch)
• Ability to draw technical diagrams (UML, sequence, flow, ER diagrams), wireframes
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
